Santa Flight Mission Status
Updated Information:
- 12/21/2007 4:40 PM MST - Tomorrow's missions to Blanding and Cedar City are a go. Please meet at Million Air for pilot briefing at 7:00 AM. Planned departure is at 8:00 AM.
- 12/18/2007 10:11 PM MST - Tomorrow's missino to Bluff is CANCELLED. From Andy Wilson: As the Director of Santa Flight I have cancelled the mission scheduled for tomorrow December 19th due to hazardous weather. I apologize for the late notice, but I wanted to give the weather picture every chance to improve before making the decision. I will be back in touch with everyone in the next day or so as details regarding the rescheduling come together.
- 12/18/2007 9:10 AM MST - Tomorrow's mission to Bluff, UT is CANCELLED for VFR aircraft only. If you have an all-weather aircraft and are comfortable flying this mission, please contact Phil Titus now. The weather for Saturday's mission looks good so far.
- 12/16/2007 2:25 PM MST - Yesterday's mission to Brigham City was successful. The weather forecast for Wednesday's mission is for snow in the Salt Lake valley. Keep watching this space for updates and a go/no-go decision.

Santa Flight 2007
Santa Flight is an Angel Flight West activity that takes toys, food, clothing and medical supplies to the more remote parts of the state where there is a
greater need during the Christmas Holiday season.
Our Mission Dates are as follows (subject to change due to adverse weather):
- Dec 15th- --Brigham City, Northwestern Band of Shoshone, Wendover, Confederated Tribe of the Goshute & Skull Valley Goshute
- Dec 19th ----- Bluff, 7 Chapters of The Navajo Nation
- Dec 22nd ---- Blanding, White Mesa Utes & Ute Mountain Utes, Cedar City, All 5 Bands of The Paiute Tribe
The "Big Sort" requires as many hands as possible. As we discussed the kids sort toys the best and
have a great time doing it. The hanger is secure and we will have music and refreshments. We will
also be offering a photo session for all of our volunteers to commemorate their assistance for the
people. Sorting is required for toys and food as it comes to Angel Flight in bulk and needs to be
broken down for the different locations.
The Sorting Dates and times are as follows:
- Dec 8th ---Million Air, Airport Access # 3, Hanger TBA, 10AM - 4PM
- Dec 10th - 13th---- Million Air, Airport Access # 3, Hanger TBA, 6PM - 10PM
Second Batch Sort Dates are:
- Dec 17th - Dec 21st ---- Million Air, Airport Access # 3, Hanger TBA, 6PM - 10PM
These are great family nights as well as excellent service projects for all scouting troops, and others
within our community. If we finish sorting sooner than expected, dates may be cancelled. Please watch this space for updates. If you
