Missions Available RSS
Get Angel Flight West missions available list through your favorite RSS reader

Many people are using RSS to gather information from the internet. If you are on the RSS bandwagon, you can now get listings of available missions in your RSS reader. If you're not yet using RSS, you can check out a program called Feed Demon at www.feeddemon.com. (This is only one of many options for RSS readers. You can also get RSS on your mobile phone or PDA, depending on its capabilities.)

RSS is a good alternative to email for the missions available lists, since it's sortable, filtered, and because of the problems that many people have with their SPAM filters trapping Angel Flight emails.

You can get either a list of all the missions available, or your can receive a filtered list. There are two ways to set up your feed:

1. First, go to the missions available page. At the bottom of the page, you will see two XML icons and link next to them. One link is for all missions available, and the other is a link that reflects the list as you have filtered it. For example, if you have selected only missions from or to your home base airport, that link will have these parameters embedded in it.
   
   Depending on which list you want in your RSS reader, right click on the link or icon, and select "Copy Shortcut" from the menu. Then paste the link into your RSS reader.
   
   
2. You can also type the link directly into your RSS reader.
   · For all missions: http://afids.angelflightwest.org/missions_available_rss.asp
   
   · For a specific airport: http://afids.angelflightwest.org/missions_available_rss.asp?airport=XXX
   
   where XXX is the 3-letter identifier of your home base airport. This will select missions either originating or ending at this airport.
